ALLLLLLL RIGHT!!!! Congratulations my friend! Even though you have already sipped from the cup of paradise (in the car Jay drove) there is nothing like touring around in YOUR OWN car!
I'm really happy for you Pat. I know how long you've waited for this moment. I'm glad you hung on for the ride and didn't give in to the dark side (the Vette). Wait til you get your first "look". It's priceless! Hell, I can't even get gas without spending 30 mins. answering people's questions.
As you always say.........DRIVE SAFE (post those pics man)
P.S. Spooky......As I clicked on your thread, I am sitting here watching (actually listening) to The Tonight Show (Jay is now doing all of the Hanibal Lecter jokes) and I was thinking about you as the show was running...........insert your own Twilight Zone music here............
I wasn't going to, but for old times sake and for all the Newbies who didn't get to see them............

So am I a happy camper or what!! I'm sure my wife is very relieved also..no more listening to me whine about not having my car!!
Anyway..I arrived at the dealer at about 7:10. It was the longest ride home from the studio ever. I think I hit every red light on the way. This never happens but tonight someone up there was playing with me. Had to come home first to pick up Susie. Actually she drove me to the dealer. When we got there they had it in the middle of the showroom with ropes all around it to keep people away. They really took care of it for me. The finance guy tried to get me to put less down and finance more but I told him I don't like loans to begin with. He offered me a better rate than I could even get from People First so I took it. He also discounted the 7yr 75000 extended waranty so I took his deal
The car is awsome as everyone has said. Keeping it under 4K with the auto is going to be tough. I already am noticing what some have talked about concerning the slippage of the AT. Almost feels like you have left the clutch out. I'm gonna play with it for a few days and really feel it out but it defenitely feels wrong for an AT. I was a big supporter of Bose early on. My Bad!
On my little test drive I had a TT pull up next to me on the freeway..I blew him away and he cought up to me as I was exiting the freeway and stepped on it..I smiled
I'll be taking it into the studio tomorrow for the first time. Look forward to Jay giving me more **** about buying an AT. I know he's just kidding though.
Thanks to all for the kind words. We've come a long way together haven't we. Guess that's what family is all about.

It looks SO GOOD I love how it was all roped off on the show room floor. I am sure people were looking at you and your wife and were SO jealous. How many stares did you get driving to work and parking it on the lot?

Congrats, Pat!
BTW - did you ever figure out how to attach the front plate using the tow hook receptacle?
Let's see some pics of that custom plate frame you got... :-)

Congratulations Pat & Susie! I too got the AT and I'm very happy with it. Very difficult to keep under 4k, but it is possible. I know what you mean about the slip. I found that if you just keep your foot into the accelerator, you don't notice it as much. Manual mode slips much more when going slow. This car just wants to race ALL THE TIME. I love it. The best of luck and ride safe. -m
-1100 miles and counting.
