Default Touring costs

This is my first post although I've been reading this forum for the past 2 or so months. So far I'm pretty impressed with the 350Z info and the whole site in general. Keep up the good work guys! I'm actually really considering getting a Z for my next car, but that won't be for at least another year so I still have some time. Hopefully by then I won't have to wait months just to get one and Nissan will offer some low-APR payment plans.

One thing really puzzles me though. Why is the Touring manual 1.6k more than the auto? So far just about every other car I've seen, it was the other way around and the auto was considered a 1k+ "upgrade". Even the Enthusiast manual is cheaper than the auto. Actually, this is the only car I know about where the manual costs more than the auto. Is there something I dont know about with the Touring manual?

The manual option is more in the Touring because you get the Performance model options (18" wheels, VDC, tire pressure monitors), basically you get a Performance model with leather and Bose.
