My salesman just called and said my Z has reached terra firma in LA!

Good News: It should arrive at the dealer by the end of the month. :D

Bad News: I'll be out of the country until Nov. 6th!! :eek:

I was told that approximately 1000 Z's have been unloaded and should be making their way to new owners shortly. My original estimated delivery date was Oct. 25th, so if the lockout situation hadn't have occurred, I would have my Z by now. There's at least another 1000 in the same "boat"!!!

Oh well.. at least I won't have the usual post-vacation let down! My Z will be waiting for me..:icon04:

And so when was your order placed???

i have a vin very close to yours. my order # is w179555 with a vin 36xx also... my dealer said oct 26, so it should be here just in time for the weekend, or the sunday part, i hope!

I actually took over a cancelled pre-order in mid-July. The original order was placed June 11th.

I feel your pain, KDsZ. My car is slated to arrive Nov 5th, but I will be out of town almost up to that date. If it arrives more than two days early, I will not be here!

Of course, I have several friends that have "volunteered" to pick it up for me.:rolleyes:

Wonder if they'll volunteer to make my payments, too...

Talked to my dealer a couple of times this week. The first time (my wife called him, I was at a conference) he told her that the delivery date had changed from 10/23 to 11/6. Needless to say that didn't go over well with me. I called him the following day to vent and he said that he didn't know why the date changed. With not being able to do much about it I told him to call me if he got any updates. Well he called me today and changed the delivery date again!!! Get this... the date went from 11/6 to 10/29!:) I needed that good news but, I won't hold my breath.

Hopefully our Z's will hit Texas together.

I just got back from the UK today and had a message from the dealer that my Z is here! Actual arrival date was Oct. 29th, which is the same day I played golf at the Old Course at St. Andrews, so, needless to say the 29th was a special day! I am flying down to Houston tomorrow to pick the baby up and then plan on a leisurely drive back to Ft. Worth.

I'll post some pic's of my PPW when I get back...
