Where are the Z's back east????

I was back east with my girlfriend for two weeks. I am from long island so we were there for a week. We also spent a few days in Manhattan, then we went up to Boston for two days then to Portland Maine for another two days. Then back to long island for a day then back home here to sunny San Diego.

While we were back east we saw a TOTAL of 2 Z's and 1 G!

lots of inifinity FX's but only the 2 z's and 1 g!!!!

are they just not there? i figured that there would be more than out west because there are more people but that is just not the case. i see them here all day long but not back east.

and you cannot use the weather as an excuse either, it was 70's and sunny the whole time we were there, not a drop of rain.

so, anyone have any comments?????

I live in a hick town but ive seen maybe 5 Zs since they came out other than whats on the nissan lot.
They dont sell very well when dealers ask 3000 dollars over msrp for them.
They are rare around here!

I live in Jersey and seen about 10 Z's in the area in the past six months not as many G's

I didn't see ANY the week I was back in cleveland. Here I see 2 others at work and usualy 5 or 6 others any given day. How many do they sell in CA v. the rest of the US?

All Bark, where on Long Island were you? I live in Nassau County and commute to Suffolk everyday for work. I see on average 1-2 Z's per week, at least 10-20 G's a week on the road.

LBSOHK Oct 11, 2004 10:36 AM

I dont see too many Z's either... and the ones I see , are driven by ******** drivers who dont wave back..

Tantrum Z33 Oct 11, 2004 10:44 AM

Yea, there arn't many Z's in the east coast. Even if you do see Z's there are usually stock.

Puff9117 Oct 11, 2004 11:04 AM

LBSOHK, sorry man, i was driving by too fast to wave :)

born and raised in Oyster Bay, the north shore of nassau county. I love going home and visiting but after living in america's finest city for 17 years, i cannot wait to get back here!

i see my fair share of Z's here in the south. at least 3-5 per day. G's are more common.

Tom R Oct 12, 2004 11:32 AM

No Z's in my town, and that's the way I like it! In my world filled with expensive German Imports with un-skilled drivers, I always win!!!!

Hazade Oct 12, 2004 11:36 AM

i live in southern NJ. i wouldnt say there are a LOT of zs around here, but i usually see about 1 a day on average

It might have something to do with the weather and snow. A lot of people can't afford a summer sports car and a winter AWD car, so they opt for a combination of the two - probably the reason why you saw so many Infinity FXs. You may have also noticed a ton of Porsche Cayennes and Audi Allroads as they are a similar compromise and quite prevalent.

I probably see at least one Z/Gc, on average, every day. Of course as winter draws closer, it ends up being maybe one every 2-3 days. I guess it's kind of nice that we aren't overpopulated with them. :)

In Massachusetts: I've seen 1 other besides myself in the past 2 weeks.

It was stock - so am I!

Btw - my Z is my AWD car... guess we'll see how this works out in the coming months :p

As someone else said, you can't shake a stick without hitting an Audi or BMW.

dont know if ohio classifies as east enough for ya but i know that every day i see 3-5 Z's and an absolute crap load of G35's. Seems like the G35 sold real well here, and the Z's are becomming more prevalent. I think it has a lot to do with the dealers asking over MSRP. This area of the country is just not going to do that. Now that you can walk into a dealer, and actually haggle over the price of the Z, brand new, people are starting to buy them.

wanderlust Oct 12, 2004 05:26 PM

Wow, yeah, here in San Diego, you can't drive a mile without seeing a G or a Z. Whenever I travel to the east coast, I hardly see any of either.

350Z's don't even get a second glance out here. Doesn't bother me any...I'd rather not have people drooling all over my car!

LBSOHK Oct 12, 2004 05:45 PM

lots of people still stare at my Z... I see people pointing at it all day long...
