Chrome Silver or Silverstone --- It's killing me!
I have been debating the two colors for months and months, and just can't decide.
I like the CS as is, but then I was thinking of CS and carbon fiber. It's just too much contrast. I saw Jeff (Performance Nissan) pics of the carbon front bumber but I just didn't like the two tone look. I think the Silverstone might look pretty good with CF, but I haven't seen anyone here with any pieces on their car. On it's own I think the SS is just too dark for my tastes, but the CF option is swaying me. BTW my current car is black, so it's different either way. Post some opinions and/or pictures. -Xray(2) |
Personally, I feel the Silvertone has more depth and richness than the CS. Where I am now, there are more CS than the SS, thus the CS appears to be more exclusive.

I cant decide either

I was in the same boat before I ordered my 05. I originally started with the chrome silver but then changed it to silverstone. It seems like out of the few Z's I see out there on the road over half of them are the chrome silver. Also, if you look closly at the silverstone it really has a nice color contrast to it...especially during the day in the sun.

SS has a nice dark shade that makes the CS look dull. It matters in preference. If you can, take a trip to the dealership and see them side by side, it might make deciding easier. Either or your still getting a nice car. But yes, color does matter.

CS or SS? Neither - get Daytona Blue :)

I have Silverstone and i was never a CS fan... until i saw this combination...

yeah black spokes on the CS is hot.

I have seen both side by side at the dealer and I prefer the CS.
However, adding CF into the picture clouds the decision. The great contrast between, say CF fenders and bright CS looks too much to me; I'd really like to get some CF parts in the future. |
If you're going to put unpainted cf on your car who cares what color it is.
|
SS is the way to go!
CS looks kinda "cheap" Also, SS looks great even when your car is really dirty! |
Get the CS Roadster with the dark blue top -- amazing combination!! -- Jim

It is almost impossible to pick a Z with a bad color. I have a silverstone Z. I love the color. It looks especially good at night. I also think that if you are planning to put CF on it, the SS would be the better choice.

Get CS :D

SS
|
In my opinion CS is to common a color. It makes the Z look bland as well. Go with the SS, you will love it. :)

the SS is too dark for my taste in silver.

When I first was looking at Z's, I couldn't make up my mind as to which color I wanted. I have a folder of black pictures, of red pictures, of blue and brickyard, and a folder for chrome silver. Except half of the pictures in that folder (now that I look at them) are actually Silver Stone. Point is, they are pretty close and many people have complimented my CS coupe, and never have they said it looks dull, or common, or cheap.
Silver Stone (to most people) looks like silver, it is silver, it's just a darker silver. I like both, but here's a picture to show you how similar they look... EDIT: I forgot you can't post pictures. Guess you'll have to just imagine it. |

Lets just put it this way...... When I went to buy my car, there was a Silverstone and as Chrome Silver sitting right next to each other....
I left with the Silverstone! hehe ;) |
