How are Z's selling?
I'm still tryin to get the car sold but i'm just doin a tad more research and I was wondering if theres any incentives or offerings going on for Z's right now? I'm preferrably looking for an enthusiast, daytona blue.
Also, what kind of insurance do you guys pay? Preferrably the 18-20 crowd? I got a quote for 1800 every 6 months and thought that was sorta high |
There is no incentive yet that I have heard of. Just about to buy my second one totalled out my 2003 couple of weeks ago. Insurance is high for your age group I was paying about $500 every six months before I totalled it out so I figure it will double now.

$1800 for every 6 months is about right for 18-20 year old clean record male driver. sucks...doesnt it?

I highly doubt there are any incentives. Before I bought my used Z I checked out some new ones at the dealership and the salesman there came out and told me straight out that they would not discount the 2004s a single penny. They said they were willing to bring down the price of the lone 2003 they had though. I don't remember how much it was exactly, about a couple grand if my memory serves me right.

Usually when you see a special in the newspaper and look at the fine print, it always excludes the Z. I believe the same is true for the extra low finance rates, etc.
As for how they're selling, I'd say pretty good. I passed in front of one local dealer Friday and saw NO Z's in the lot. Usually he has 5 or 6 at any given time. |

Granted, why should they, they're selling like hot cakes but so many more people would buy em I feel, if they gave some sort of kick back, maybe even lower finance rates? |
i would think if you're looking to get an 04 now you should get some sort of deal, definitely under msrp.
|
Yeah i agree that now is the best time to buy an 04 model since all car dealers are trying to move those out of their inventory. If you do get an 04, definitely do not pay more than MSRP for whichever model you get.

04 model has 2% financing now.

In my area they arent selling to well my dealer has had the same 04's on his lot for a few months as well as the few 05's as well as few other dealers I have passed by. Its great time to buy an 04 with the low rates they are offering, pretty soon they will have some incentive to move those 04's out to make room for the 05's. Plus they dont want to pay taxes on the 04's at years end if its stil on the lot.

Z's are selling great in my area, North Carolina, and as a small dealer I do discount. 2% financing available up to 60 months on all '04 350's right now. I have one '04 Enthusiast left at dealer invoice and an '05 Touring Roadster at $300 over dealer invoice. Email me if anyone is looking for a new Z! Thanks, Clay

2% isn't that bad at all. Is it 2% or 1.9? Just curious, thats all.

Re: How are Z's selling?
I just got a call from my neighbor who is the manager for a nissan dealership in Louisiana he told me they now have 2% financing for 2004 models right now.

MikeNT256 or EdgeOfSanity,
from what insurance company are you getting the 1800 quote?? |
State Farm Insurance.
Plus my 16 year old sister JUST got her license too, thats why its a tad higher as well. Had she not been on the insurance, we would have had 3 vehicles and 2 drivers, meaning one person gets a discount for having 2 vehicles. |
