I don't even want to imagine the Canadian 370Z price.
I just realized if the 370Z if going to be a few grand US$ more than the current 350Z, That'll push the entry level 370Z well over $55,000 Canadian.
Entry level price of the 350Z in the US is like what? $28,000? nissan.ca has the starting price of a 350Z at $49,000 :( |
sucks. come to US buy it then take it back to canada?

Any car company that still charges a huge premium will suffer huge losses in the long run (case in point: Audi Canada). |
hmm, I can hope this will be true for the 370Z also.. I was looking at buying an Evo MR and I'm holding off since it's a good $10,000 difference also here in Canuck land. (dealers want $53,000 for it.. )
I was thinking about buying then importing one (either a new Z or EvoMR) but unfortunately nissan and mitsubishi don't honor the US warranty in Canada. :/ Mitsu lost my business because the dealers in my city are a bunch of tools. (Marking up the car $6000 because the Evo is new here.. so most of the Evo MRs are sitting on the show room floor) |

only two trim levels will be available for the 370
|
As you can see no one really knows yet "exactly" how much its gonna be etc..
Hopefully the L.A. auto show will answer most of these unknowns. ;) |
there's less range of models in canada aswell. actually, only 1 which is divided into the coupe and roadster... forums.370zforum.net has further discussions about 370z

The car will be in the 35 range in Canada. I have spoken to three diff dealers and a rep at Nissan Canada about ballpark prices. What's sad is the poor Canadian saps that bought a 2008 350Z for $55,000 range. In six months, the value of their car drops more than $20,000 not counting the fact that it's used, so add another $5000 or more to that. Their resale value is **** shortly.
If you are Canadian and you own a 2008, wake up dude... your window for selling and actually getting a reasonable price is closing quickly. |
Go ahead and use your imagination. It wont hurt. Promise.

Congrats on selling your car man, good move for sure! Just think, now you can rock a 370z and smile even time you pass a 2008 350z knowing what could have been.. heh

Can't just do that, a duty and tax must be paid, among many other tasks that have to be completed.
If you have the cash to go stateside, there no weak side to it. Well, once the 370z comes out it'll be smarter to buy here for sure, but until then... yeah, easy money. |
Also, it's now much easier to get ANY car into Canada, because the Canadian bumper regulation got eliminated recently.

A VW pulls up to the canadian border...
Canadian customs officer: Hello welcome to Canada...Are you carrying any firearms, explosives or any controlled substances in your vehicle? VW Driver: Why? What do you need? :p |
