5.4 0-60 (Autoweek) CLEARED UP
Just to let everyone know, if you haven't read for yourself the claim made by Autoweek that the 370z ran a 5.4 0-60, please relize that they did NOT test the car, and that time (as well as the 3,220lb weight) were ESTIMATED.
Besides that being off, the article is fairly accurate and offers good looking pics of the car in white or light silver, its hard to tell. But definitely check it out, the profile shot of the car is gorgeous, can't wait to drive one!
P.S. Take that ZZTOPP!!!

Those are 07-08 Numbers with a good driver, so I think with a good driver the 370 should break 13.1 ish and break 12 with a great driver. Just my .02

I'll bet this thread is going to start turning into just another version of this one.

Again, comparing the 350Z to the 370Z, the 370Z looks like it's only about 75 pounds lighter than a similar 350Z. Nothing special, and not the rumored 200+ pounds.
The engine has a little more torque across the board, and 26 higher peak HP.
These are all improvements, but nothing revolutionary. The 370Z will be faster, but not by boatloads that the dreamers want.
The best method to "guesstimate" the 370Z times actually would be to look at the new G37 sedan times... same engine, same power delivery, same gearing, same transmissions, similar suspension setup, similar chassis... just ~300 pounds heavier. The main variable that's left in the equation would be the 370Z's ability to hook up off the line, compared to the G37. Everything else is already tested.

And yes, I made this thread simply to clarify that the AutoWeek data was simply an estimate, and now it seems Car and Driver also has estimated times too. The REAL TESTED figures are what I can't wait for.

The guy in the auto-X forum weighed a base 370Z.
It's heavier than I though it would be.
2009 base weight:
Per the B Stock 350Z drivers instructions, 3/4 tank of fuel, no spare, jack or tools.
3246lbs
56% front
LF 886 RF 939
LR 737 RR 685
I did not level the scales, since it was not a Sport I was not going to waste a lot of time on it, but the total is still good.
Weight with spare/tools/jack 3289.
