a slight bit off topic but if any1 is interested in a nissan GT-R premium trim:
http://www.tustinnissan.com/VehicleS...pe=&cylinders=
i was looking for the 370z in all of cali and happened upon this. This GT-R premium trim is by far the cheapest one i have seen. The 2009 demand for sports car is not much.

And there test was not on a road course. It was at low speeds that doesn't take into account the body kit other than the 1/4 time which hurts the NISMO.
The 370z again comes with better tires. The times they show again are right with what the NISMO has done. Neither one is better than the other. And no one here magazine races/talks because magazine auto journalists most of the time don't know crap.

You know you are right! I would put much more faith in an random internet message board poster over people that write about cars for a living.
What was I thinking?

We know the cars better than they would ever dream to unless they owned it. Your logic is flawed Pushing_Tin. I suggest you keep reading so you can learn to become a less noob on these forums. We all know you are getting or talking about getting a 370z so now it's the best thing that is happening to you so nothing can beat it.

Magazine writers get to see the car for a few days, sometimes a month on a long term test or so for one person and thats it. We live with the cars day in and day out. Reason why we can perform and get better numbers out of the cars compared to the journalists.

Once again you are correct, this is only my 3rd day on teh interwebz. Thanks for the advice! I like the way it looks and seems like a relatively good price for the performance. I think it looks better than the 350, otherwise I would buy one of those instead.
I just don't understand all of the 370z haters that hover in this forum. I understand you love your car, you think it's superior blah blah blah. Great, why don't you stay in the 350 section and have one giant circle jerk with the other fanbois? Do you see my over there posting about why I think the 370 is superior?

370Z is heavier, only will make around 15 more rwhp than the HR 350Z, handles the same as a NISMO for a normal 370z, the 370z has ugly lights and front bumper, and rear bumper light. But the 370z has upgraded interior, nice wheels, and smaller with wider stance.
I am on the 370z forum and I am a supporter for them.

Knock it off guys. Stock for stock, the regular 370Z out accellerated the NISMO 350Z according to a magazine. Is the 370Z faster around, say Tsukuba? I don't know and I don't care. If any of you want to hold out for the NISMO 350Z's unproven superiority, be my guest. You've apparently got something to lose if your car is no longer the 'fastest Z ever'. The truth is that the difference in their performance is likely very marginal. Would better tires help the NISMO 350Z? You bet, but then it wouldn't be stock. Would that make up for the difference between the two? That's speculation at this point. Look at the facts at this point.
There is hardly more respectable group of automotive journalists than those at Edmunds.com/Insideline. Scott Oldham was the editor that brought the thorough technical format to Sport Compact Car magazine years ago before taking the helm at Insideline. Here are their results:
2007 NIMSO 350Z Review
Slolam: 71.0 mph
Skidpad: 0.91g
0-60: 5.1
1/4 mile: 13.6@103
60-0: 109ft
Price as Tested: $38,775
Curb Weight As Tested (lb): 3,354 <- Does not include side curtain airbags
Impressions: Fast car. Harsh ride is not pleasant and interior isn't very good.
2009 370Z Full Test
Slolam: 69.8 mph
Skidpad: .97
0-60: 4.9
1/4 mile: 13.4 @ 104.6
60-0: 101ft
Curb Weight As Tested (lb): 3,359 <-Includes side curtain airbags.
Price as Tested: Price as Tested: $34,430
This is a silly internet arguement. The 370Z is an amazing car for an incredible price. It is a good improvement over the outgoing model in every measurable way, and delivers equal or better performance in a far more comfortable package, that weighs LESS, and for a $4300 lower MSRP. Thank you Nissan.
There is just about nowhere left to hide from the 370Z's equal or superior performance. If you hate the 370Z so much or just need to be able to claim your Z is the best, just call it ugly, the same way that many people do of the NISMO 350Z's rear.
As it stands, due to the awesome performance and value of the 370Z, the NISMO 350Z can be had for a bargain, which is good news for anyone that truly
1. puts a lot of emphasis on the looks of their car
2. likes the way the Nismo looks
3. and does not like the style of the 370Z
4. is willing to endure the track car ride over the comfort of the 370Z.
If you fall into this category, then congratulations, you have a very good option in the 350Z Nismo.

I agree with ITD. But one thing I need to make note. The NISMO comes standard with Side Air Bags. So that is the actual weight of it. Mine weighed at a track 3325.
The 370Z weighs more than a 350Z did sorry not less. And the Slalom tests the cars abilities not a skidpad which tests the tires. The NISMO took care of the 370z easily there.

EDIT: Found it. 2007 did have them standard, so the 370Z with sport package weighs within 5 lbs of the 350Z NISMO.

There is no hate going on here. Sorry if you don't like the facts being pointed out.

Glad you are a supporter, but a lot of what you just said it purely subjective. You think it's uglym while others love it and think the 350 is cheap and looks dated. Nobody is right or wrong when it comes to looks.

Wow.. don't flame me for this as I cannot find which test it was, but the 370Z did the Slalom at 71.3, matching the Nimso. I will try to find...

it's basically written in stone
I just wanna see these two cars on the track at the same time and see just how much the 370z edges out the nismo 350z, screw the individual testing.

Since today is January 1st, I have been surfing around stealership websites for the 370Z inventory and prices. Cheapest price from los angeles' Universal city nissan is ~$38k. Mossy Nissan from san diego has 7 and they range as low as 30k up to 40K, the majority being upwards of 35k. They did not list any options and features yet on the websites. But this is pathetic and i hope this is will not become a GT-R markup campaign.
Overall, I love the car, just not the colors or cost difference from the base to the touring. Black didn't look good. The light silver looks like every other car on the road. The platinum graphite was better, but again would blend in with the rest of the cars on the road, especially those in SoCal. I'm waiting to see the white, and it will probably be awhile before many get a red, blue, or yellow one in. This dealer said they wouldn't get any unless you ordered it. No thanks. They also wouldn't let you test drive unless you bought it. Umm, again, no thanks. I'll wait for the hype to die down, and only pick one up for a bit over invoice.
The car is nice, I like it better than the 350z which I also liked but they are everywhere now, so the 370z is more appealing to a new buyer. Nissan should have given us a few more color options, at least something that is distinct.
