Default 350z VS. 370z (photo comparison)

so i went to the local dealer today to check out the new Z. just wanted to take some pics of a stock (ride heighth) 350z comparred to the new 370z. to my suprise, the salesman offered me a test drive. he said, as i was snapping pic, " come one, you know you want to drive it." well , not being one to disappoint, i accepted the offer..........HELL YEAH!!! well it was an automatic 7 speed touring model, and i got to tell ya---this one could make owning an auto very liveable. my current plan is to buy the 370 in a couple years after all the "bugs" have been worked out, and the remove that hideous gas gage on the left side of the gauge cluster (what were they thinking???). enough babling here are the pics. hope you enjoy them!

350Z >>>>> 370Z in looks. The clean lines of the 350 make the 370 look retarded. Plus that new blue is absolutely hideous in person.

As with other pics I like the 370z better. The nose is higher (it has to be nowadays) but the seeing as the car has a higher belt-line (with the raised hood) and it slightly lower than a 350z, it gives it a more menacing look. The 350z looks dated.

I don't know what you're looking at, but the 350Z is definitely lower in those pics. And it looks like it's on stock springs too.

350z FTW!

The 370 Seems to sit several inches too high! This has to effect the body roll...

Those numbers don't concern me. The 350Z clearly looks lower than the 370Z. It may be attributed to new springs and struts, but all I'm saying is that in those pics, the 350 is lower.

Hmm, factual data or visual illusion from photos? you decide. In any case they look about the same to me in the photos as well.

looking at the pics again, the 350 idefinately lower---but the 370 ride height is lower due to overall shape of the body. on the 350 its ground clearance is lowe, but has a higher roof line

yep, that is about what i see too. It seems that the front valance and rear bumper on the 370Z makes it appear to be riding higher. But from the side profile they look about the same, especially if you imagine the mug guards removed from the 350Z. The overall height (roofline, like you said) of the 370Z looks lower but slightly.

350 is a cleaner looking car no matter what cosmetic mods you do but 370 would be worth the upgrade unless you have FI or plan on it.

Nice comparison. Wondered how much different the new blue is from the DB.
Thanks for the pics!

Thats the height from the top of the roofline. Nothing to do with how low it sits to ground.

yep, but I think they sit about the same. It is just the shape of the front and back on the 370Z, the way it curves up more, makes it "look" that way because from the side profile they look about the same to me. I am using the amount of shadow cast from the edge of the rocker panel to judge, in the second to last photo.

OK, perhaps I a getting obsessed with this but I am going to measure it from the bottom of the tire to the rocker panel. Looks like the ride height of the 370Z may be higher.
