Save the pennies for the 2010 370Z!

So the G's and M's are receiving direct injection for 2010 (bout damn time), so I can only speculate so will the 2010 370Z. Sh*t is gonna heat up!

New M on the Way
The new M will be shown in sketch form in August and in the metal late in the year or early in 2010. Infiniti isn't quite sure where to pull the sheet off the car as nobody is sure how long Nissan will abstain from the international auto show circuit. If the cost-cutting ban holds through the end of the year, the M may get revealed at a special event or some other as-yet-undetermined venue. Expect a vastly upgraded interior (one of the shortcomings of the previous car) and the new direct-injected 3.7-liter V-6. The twin-turbo direct-injection 3.7 in the Essence could be adopted down the line as a performance upgrade, but at the moment it is just show-car fantasizing. Nissan is hard at work developing a new V-8 as the performance option in the near term.

Don't turbo the Z please!!!
I think the Direct Injection will find its way in the next generation of Z and probably not on the 370z. If the G gets it by 2010, 2011 as a mid-cycle upgrade, the Z will get it by 2013? Isn't it usually what Infiniti gets, it follows down to Nissan a couple or few years later?
But then, who knows what will happen, what do I know.?!

It's not too far-fetched to assume a refreshed DI equipped 37VHR might make it's way into the Z...probably not for 2010 though. That would be a PR flop for Nissan to go making major mechanical improvements to car just released the previous model year. Also they probably would want Infiniti to have the exclusivity of the "latest and greatest" for at least a MY.

i dont believe it will get direct injection right away, specificly if the car is already out performing its counter parts in the same price range. Strategy wise would wait until you need to as a trump card.

Hybrid motor adds to the total power output of the twin turbo engine? 600 hp and 30 mpg. That can't be true! Gorgeous car though.
So how do you all like the new G? j/k this is the concept car off which that article above is based. Not bad though, eh?
