Default Advice for buying a 370z

I just want some opinions. I have an 03 350z and was planning on buying a 370z. Should i buy one now or should i wait until the 400z or whatever they're calling it comes out and buy the 370z after its value and price drops?

All depends on new versus used. Used Z34s are fairly reasonable for later models, say '14+

Interestingly, like 350Zs before them, dealers and such don't distinguish - much - between a lower trim level and a higher one, except Nismo. You can find decent Sport-Touring models for under $20k (some fairly well under depending on mileage you're willing to accept.) If you're going to buy a Z34 (non-Nismo), the one to buy is said Sport-Touring model. Very nice with all the amenities plus the big brakes and 19" forged wheels.

If you want a later model ('16+) Nismo with revised front fascia and 6MT, good luck.... for every 10 I've looked at (in the classifieds), 8 are auto trans. Nothing wrong with that but if you want manual, somewhat difficult to find. The big wing Nismo pre-'16s are actually holding their value better than the new ones, some often in the same price range of ~$25k.

Got a 370...

Well, In Japan, they call it the Nissan Skyline 370 GT Crossover. Branded as an Infiniti QX50 here in the States.

While not as Sportscar lookingish as a 370 Z, it performs like one.. For Real... 325 HP of Naturally Aspirated Enjoyment.

Added Bonuses Include...

Rear Seats ( Power Folding Up )
All Around Cameras
AWD
Roof Rack
JDM Built in Japan, this 2016 was... Not like '19 QX50 a front wheel drive based Mexico Built diluted Crossover.

Is it a Z Car akin to the beloved 350Z ? Sort of.....

While not as cool looking as a Z car, if want a more practical alternative to a 370Z.... The pre- '17 QX50 AKA EX37, EX... is something to consider.

I have a 14 coupe w sports pack. It's almost 2years old with about 27k miles. I haven't had any problems with it yet but the one thing I will tell you is that the rears wear really fast. If you put any sort of decent performance summers on your car they won't last long. Besides that absolutely love it!
