I need help can’t figure out how to install stereo!!! 😢
So I have a 350z 2006 grand touring with the Bose system
but I had tried installing the head unit in I just want to keep my stock Bose speakers and I want them to work with my new stereo I get no sound
i am using these items:
PAC - 4-Channel Audio Line Output Converter for Adding Amplifier(s) - Black
Metra - Turbo Wire Aftermarket Radio Wire Harness Adapter for Select Nissan Vehicles - White
i am not sure if I bought the wrong harness or something and auto tech in Best Buy told me I needed does but I feel like he is dumb beacuse it just doesn’t work no sound please someone help me out I been in my car without music for 2 months 😢.

When it comes to wiring, there could be many variables as to why the speakers are not working. The correct harness for the bose system is the 'Metra 70-7551 harness.'
Also did you make sure to turn the volume up alot on the stock headunit, before replacing it? There is a thread on here that states why, and may help you with your problem. But these are some basic tips I know of, to start with.

People must have gotten new head units for Christmas. This is about the fourth mention of adapting new HUs to Bose... and the fourth mention of this:

This post: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-v...sn-t-work.html explains it most recently (and a couple others within the last couple of weeks.)

I have a lot of experience with the 03-06 350Z (and Bose)... if you are only installing an HU (no amps), and plan on using the Bose to power your stock speakers, you have 2 options.
1. Use the pac device mentioned above to convert speaker level to line output levels to ingterface with the factory Bose amp (speakers outputs of new HU to factory wiring harness through the PAC device)--this is foolproof if you follow their instructions and wire all wires to the PAC.
2. I have seen other harnesses, maybe made by someone other than PAC (maybe Metra), that have actual RCA style plugs that connect your line level RCA outputs from your HU to the standard Nissan connector radio plugs in the 350Z.
Either of these should work... just don't expect killer sound with the stock Bose amp and speakers... that system truly sucks. Aftermarket HUs will sound better than the stock Bose, but the subwoofer in that car is joke, and the other speakers are not much better.
My guess is the reason you are not getting any sound is you do not have the amp turn on wire conencted to your new HU remote turn on lead, or your HU outputs are not being interfaced to the Bose amp under the front seat properly. That same Bose amp sends the turn on and audio signals to the Bose sub amp behind the drivers seat in...so if the main speaker amp is not on, neither will the sub amp.
Good luck.
