World's 1st 9 second GT-R by AMS Performance

World's 1st 9 second GT-R by AMS Performance The car was tuned up back at the shop and ran on the dyno yesterday right off the trailer. We then parked it back by the rig and unloaded it today, put some more gas in it and fired off three 9 sec passes in a row. 9.90@146.9 with a 1.8 60ft 9.99@145 hitting 9.89@145 hitting This car is running our SR850 package which essentially is our SR750 package with a fuel system upgrade and a race fuel map. The package will be released very shortly and consists of the following: AMS upgraded bolt on turbo's Upgraded actuators AMS 90mm downpipes AMS 90mm Resonated midpipe AMS 90mm exhaust AMS Front mount intercooler AMS 3" intercooler piping HKS bov's AMS Large MAF intake pipes AMS fuel System upgrade Cobb AP AMS Custom Race gas map (unleaded 109 octane Race gas) Boost peaks at about 27/28 and falls to low 20's near redline Yesterday's dyno numbers on the hennessey dyno dynamics dyno was 765whp and 738 tq |

this is just amazing. the potential of street driven (sometimes even daily driven) cars are unbelievable. The ability to run 9's and then just drive home in the same car is what makes me smile :thumbup:

Just goes to show you dont need ridiculous amounts of power to go fast. Full interior, completely street legal and doesnt look too much different from a stock bodied gtr. The power curve looked very linear at no point going down the track did it seem or appear hard to control. The only thing i didnt like was using the services of that crook hennessy boo. Good job AMS

It was Supra Nationals aka 2K10 so it was packed with supras of all sorts and a bunch of other fast cars
