The car that set that record is the NISMO Track Edition. Its the NISMO edition with the Track Pack. So price wise I would guess somewhere north of $150K. Expensive, especially for a Nissan, but it sure is fast.
Track pack is basically tires, suspension and some engine tuning? I hope they offer that option to an already expensive nissan. Either way, to be 4th on that list is pretty badass imo.
I wonder what the LaFerrari will run, guaranteed the Italians want to eclipse Porsche's 918 time.
Hopefully Nissan made some major modifications to the Nismo variant engine or cooling. In a recent road and track or car and driver 10 best list, the GT-R automatically cut back the boost after a few laps because it was overheating.

ya I think so too since the GTR base MSRP is already at 99,500 and up to 115,710 for the track before any options, the Black Edition is 109,330

It was smashed but then surpassed again by the Porsche 918, I think its like 6:59 or something
I can't lie, I've been waiting for the Nismo GTR since the GTR concept.....but I'm not really digging the aero package, even though I'm sure its functional.
With the Nismo 350Z (which was great looking, and provided function), as well as the Nismo 370Z, the aero seemed subtle and as if it were a part of the body. With the GTR everything just looks like...the first Need for Speed where you just enlarge the vents and the bumpers.
Now would I sport one, pfft DUH! But I would probably remove the wing and go with another style, or the OEM track model one.
Yeah but the performance oriented ones are hypercars costing 7 figures. Remember when the R35 came out and cost $72K lol.
I guess the NSX will be leading the charge, but I think that car will be close to the price of this NISMO R35. I also read somewhere that BMW/Toyota might be collaborating on the Supra with a possible hybrid drivetrain.
On a side note, Dupont Registry has a Swizter (sp?) tuned GTR for $160K, has the 1K HP package.
