What's the best MPG u got on your ZR so far?

My is an auto. My best is 17.7

I usually get 300~320 miles on a full 18 gallon tank with a lead foot.

KombatKing Apr 26, 2006 04:52 PM

22.4 mpg bringing it home on the highway - mine's an auto too.

6mt. best ive got is 360 with full tank

firulice Apr 26, 2006 05:56 PM

Wow, no bs, I've never filled up my tank before 400 mi. There have been times it barely makes it there, and the highest I've gotten is 455 mi on one tank. Granted, a lot of that was highway, but I've never gotten less than 20mpg

AZNNBLK Apr 26, 2006 07:17 PM

the gauge reads avg 21.5 mpg.. i drive about 50% freeway

Built2shredZ Apr 26, 2006 07:57 PM

Averging around 19 mpg

JacobHaley Apr 27, 2006 06:00 AM

390 miles on my ZR so far, and my gauge is 18.5 mpg and climbing.

BobbyRitz Apr 27, 2006 06:04 AM

19.8mpg...it hasn't moved much and I've had the top down a great deal as spring has sprung here in MD

A06ZRT Apr 27, 2006 07:11 AM

20mpg here in the city of Maryland... Daily Driver. i'm guessing people are looking at their gauges? i'm doing the raw math after each fill ups... so i know exactly what i'm getting.

350zroadster Apr 27, 2006 07:14 AM

21.5 daily average

28 on highway if I'm careful going at 65 mph

BrianV Apr 27, 2006 09:32 AM

Dang, my first tank (and I thought I ran the car fairly hard) got me 22.5 pretty much all city, but I live in the outskirts where it's more rural, but I work in a metro area.

I expect to get 24 with normal driving.

On my latest road trip (3,500 miles in just under two weeks), my best mileage at 75 mph was 27 mpg. When I was visiting a relative in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was doing a lot of city driving, I was able to achieve 22 mpg.

At the start of the road trip, the car had 3,700 miles on it at the start of the trip, and about 7,200 when I returned to South Dakota.

Well I dont have a ZR (sorry I feel compelled to share my good gas fortune) I can get 30 mpg on the 15N in Socal, just put it in 6th at 65...cruise all the way!

LA_Z Apr 30, 2006 05:27 AM

I average 22 in mixed city/highway. (just passed 3400 on the odometer). highway only I managed 27.

Crewctlvr Apr 30, 2006 05:42 AM

I drove from Nashville to Tampa, Florida and filled up once on the trip. When I was in Tampa I had another 75 miles or so before the need to refuel. On the first tank I got 30 and the second 28. Typically, I get 20-22 around town with some mixed interstate driving. On entirely interstate driving I get 26-30. In my case the fastest I drive is the speed limit.

Man, you guys need to learn how to control a gas pedal for maximum mpg. I get above thirty all the time.

mr. sparco Apr 30, 2006 11:15 PM

DAMn, getting only 14-16 mpg avg, city only.

NOBI Apr 30, 2006 11:23 PM

yea thats what i get too. i think its my full exhaust system. any input? do you think throwing the cats back on will add some mpg. i dont floor it everywhere, and always shift before 4000.

NOBI May 1, 2006 12:56 PM

anyone have an answer? do putting your stock cats back on give you more mileage?
