Older Zees with the Bose stereo that have the subwoofer behind the seat have a problem with the sub amp. A relay tends to come lose from the amp board and the sub stops working.
I found a thread on this forum explaining how to fix that. Basically you just take out the amp, open the amp enclosure and fold up a piece of paper (which I wrapped in electrical tape) and place it over the relay. When you close the amp enclosure it puts pressure on that relay and forces it to make contact again with the amp board.
It worked perfect and makes the Bose stereo sound a lot better!

If you have a soldering iron, you can fix the Bose amp pretty easily for about $5 and replace the relay. I did this a while ago with a relay from RadioShack: 7-9VDC/12A SPDT mini relay.

I think I'm pretty much done with the exterior of the car at this point.
  • Nismo Body Kit (Replica)
  • Volk SF Challenge 19" Wheels (19x9.5 +28, 19x10.5 +23)

The front I bought used locally. The sides and rears are from Shine.

Thanks bro.

It's a C20 replica made by Shine. In my opinion, it completely changes the look of the roadster. I was never crazy about how the rear looked, but after adding this spoiler, debadging, and tinting the tails, I think it looks much more aggressive and I just love it.

Other things I did, were the Nismo V2 rep front bumper cover, Depo 06+ blacked out headlights, full polish, and spaced my wheels out some. The wheels are now equal 20x9 +20 in front and 20x10 +20 in rear. I want to try to add 5 more mm of spacer but not sure if I can put 10mm spacers on with the stock lugs and make sure there is enough threads on the lugs. I think so. If anyone knows if that is safe, I would live to know.

Car also has a full Nismo exhaust, K&N CAI, dropped about an inch, did the rear spring boot mod to drop the back a little more, drilled
/slotted stock size rotors and I am putting in a Pioneer AVH-3800B DVD head unit next week.

It's a weekend cruiser, not a track car, so it is perfect for me!

Next up is pulling the 5th bow top motor and rebuild. It's starting to act up on me...
