Saw my 350ZR (2 yrs later) SAD!!!!
Well I traded my 350ZR back in Nov 08 for a 2008 Avalanche. I kept the Avalanche for almost 2 yrs and traded it on an 11 Mustang GT.
Anyway back to the ZR. I had a mint fully loaded 2005 ZR with a Nismo exhaust, 06 LED rear tailights, JWT intake, 8400 miles. Anyway, I am on patrol (Im a police officer in my city) and drive by two males getting out of a convertible Red Z that was already parked by a house. I pull up beside the driver and ask where he bought the ZR. Turns out he bought it 2 days after I traded it in. The owner of the Z is an older guy probably in his late 40's early 50's. He's also real nervous in speaking to me.
I get out of my car and decide to chat with him. After he realizes I am not pulling him over he explains what he has done to the car. Sorry but I don't have pictures to describe my poor old ZR. The guy goes onto to say how he has had to replace the transmission, the top is ripped and the Nav is broken. The car is a mess, looks like he has never washed it, there are scrapes everywhere and he goes onto to say he hit a fence last week cause he had TCS off. He opened the hood and the JWT filter or the engine hasn't been cleaned for the last 2 yrs. The shiny Nismo exhaust I put in was black from all the dirt. The interior looked like an episode form Hoarders! I told him about the full clear bra and he had no clue what it was only for him to say that his dog scratched the hood by jumping on the car.
I spoke to my salesman shortly after I bought my Avalanche the Z sold. The salesman said an older gentlemen bought 2 cars with a recent settlement and the ZR was one of the cars he bought!
Needless to say, I left my old ZR disgusted.
It was a sad day especially since I thought my old ZR would have been taken care of. And the guy wanted to sell it for $13K, I had to laugh.
I'll try and take pics of the Z with my iphone if I ever see it in town again.

that really sucks. I saw one of my old cars a while after I sold it and the kid had posted about it on some forums and he upgraded even more stuff and lost 27whp on my old setup =/.

Hey Zand-Max, my friend and I are planning a future cross-country trip in my Z roadster (All back roads and all top down). On the way, I want to look over some opportunities in San Antonio and it would sure be nice to enjoy police immunity while in the area.
I don’t know if you’re a single gentleman or not, but my friend loves to party and is gorgeous and wonderful in every way. I can assure you that she’d be horrified to know that I was pimping her over the Internet, but to a sports car driver, police immunity is… well, priceless!

I acquired my 2005 base model in may this year and the previous owners took care of it as best as one can over 5 years of everyday driving (except winter) use. She has 94,000 miles (previous owner drove the interstate to work all the time), runs like a brand new Z and the day I found it on the lot I knew I had some work ahead of me to clean it up. Now all my friends tell me that I've brought a Z back from the unclean dead lol. This Z has a permanent home with me and will be taken care of...
I hate to hear about your ZR being beaten up like this... to some people a car is just a car to get them to point a and b. I will say that the previous owner of my Z had all the service done at the dealership and besides a scuff on the front bumper she was well cared for. Maybe you can get another ZR to make up for it!
My 94K mile stock base model.
