No, and its not something that you would remove on a daily basis (although you could)
Getting the front of the top to fit snug and nice is kinda a pita, but then again, that was the first time we put the top on, after the rubber seals break in it should go in easier.
But yes there actually IS a rear window now!!

This one was designed to use mounts located on the factory top.
To remove the oem top and get this one to work you need to cut off 2 tabs from the oem top and bolt them back onto the car.

Yeah, but most people will retain the factory top, so they can always put that back up.

Very slick looking top, especially on the OP's red car, but I have to wonder what's going on with the rear weatherstripping between the top and the body. One of my other cars is a '92 Alfa Romeo Spider, and the factory hardtop is tight as a drum. Almost hard to believe an Italian car could be both air- and water-tight, but I think you'd have to expect it with a Z. No slam against those who bought this top, but did anyone contact Smoothline about the rear weatherstripping?

The answer as to why you would want two tops is if you take the hard top off on a nice day and go somewhere and it starts to rain or you need to run into a store and do not want to leave your car wide open like that you can then fold the rag top back up to protect the interior/belongings.

There are too many various reasons to get it to start a discussion about in this thread. The other threads people (my self included) stated various reasons why they want the top, or don't want it.
You saw one answer, there are other answers in the other smoothline threads.

The car is definitely tight. I haven't tightened it down all the way and it gets stuffy quick (if you dont have a/c running).
