Carputers for 370Z

Post your carputer pics installed in a 370Z. Describe the installation, design, location of the computer/software/diagnostic port software, supporting gauges, features, etc.

I know several others that installed a carputer in the 350Z. This thread is geared towards the 370Z.

wouldn't they essentially be the same thing? haha

Carputer maybe be the same;however, the carputer will likely be installed in a different location since the 370Z doesn't have bins behide the seats.

Yeah, the screen will be installed in the cubby, but the diagnostic interface will likely be different now that Nissan has gone away from the OBD II port.

Again, post your pics and installation of the carputer in a 370Z.

What does the OBD II port have to do with anything?

It'll be the same as any other carputer. Check out mp3car.com and you may find what you are looking for.

The OBD II port is the diagnostic port on 350Z. If you datalog with UPREV's Cipher or other datalog software, then you plug into this port.

O RLY???

I know that. It has nothing to do with putting a computer in the car though.

Actually, the ODBII port is pretty integral to any good carputer setup as you get a USB OBDII connector and then a program (or plugin in your front end) that reads all of your levels on a virtual dashboard, you can keep an eye on everything, tune etc.. all from the carputer.
