Adjusting adjustable end links
1) With the car at rest disconnect one end of one end link on each axle. This will remove any torsional load on the sway bar.
2) Loosen the jam nuts and adjust the end link until it can be re-connected without moving the sway bar from its resting position.
I understand all of the above, but I can't find what the "resting" position is. The sway bar itself swivels about 90 degrees when not connected to any end links, so what is the correct position or angle to place the sway bar?

in my opinion and experience, the resting position of the bar ends should be horizontal and the endlinks should be perpendicular as close to 90 degrees as possible
