damn, I love those stock wheels!! The steering wheel also looks nice, might try to put it on my 350 :)

Ok done deal, I was going to wait a year, maybe 2 tops for one. But from what I am seeing of these photos I might be wanting one sooner. The thing is looking strong!

Have you seen the NISMO versions? One of the S-tune threads (Full S-Tune Parts Revealed) has a picture or two off a link of Japanese documents.

The S5 is a hard car to beat on looks, even the A5. From any angle, at any distance that car looks incredible. If I could afford an S-line A5, I would get it. (Don't wanna blow all the dollaz on one car.)

Anybody else think it looks like a 599 Fiorano from that angle? (The headlights minus the wing.) Also: I wonder if there's a way to buy the GTR's shifter and mirrors separately and put them on the Z - I think they'd both look pretty good .

As far as the front strut brace, other makes have that style and aftermarket brands have followed suit.

I'm not one to judge until I see it in person, but the steering wheel has always looked a bit off to me in pics.

I want it to grow on me but it's just not happening. I find it telling that so many people say one of the following:

1. It's growing on me
2. I'm on the fence
3. I like it except for the...(insert feature here)
4. Can't wait to see what aftermarket kits will look like
5. Can you retro fit a 350 front grill and headlights?
6. I'm going to have the lights masked and the fangs painted out

There are many, many people who are saying they love the car as is but collectively there are more people saying one of the above. I think this points out that the car does not produce that solid "Yes" that you want to feel when buying a new car. It also should be a message back to Nissan that they aren't quite there yet with the 370.

Like many new cars today, seeing it person makes all the difference. After awhile, the old model, looks well, just old. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the 350Z when I first saw it nor the Nismo version.

Very true, as the 370Z is not a car that will wow you in the looks department at first sight. Few cars are able to do that under $100k and some examples (IMO) are the Aston Martin Vantage, Audi S5, E46 M3 and Porsche 911 Carrera as these are cars about 90% of the people will definitely find attractive.

Now I am interested in the new Z but definitely not based on looks only as I would like to know the specs and pricing before actually wanting to buy one. I figure there are many choices of cars in the $30-$40k range so I don't have to stick to only one unless it's got the total package that I'd want.

are you serious? i think if people look at it, its because they know its the M series or that its somewhat fast. It looks pretty much like any of the other BMW sedans at the time except for a few difference.

Good points...when I first saw the 350Z in 2003, I was shopping for a pickup truck and stopped by to look at the Frontier. I ended up buying a Takoma because there was something about how the whole truck looked that just looked right. The Frontier looked odd to me.

But the 350Z hit me just right. Unfortunately, I was not able to afford one at the time. The next one I saw was on an Interstate and again, I got that "strikes a chord" feeling just looking at it. When I finally went out to buy a sports car in 2006, I looked at the new Eclipse, the RX8, and finally the Z in that order.

The Eclipse struck me as a sports car wannabe. The RX8 just didn't have the power or reliability ratings and the looks were too busy for my taste. When I arrived at the Nissan dealer, the car I now drive was sitting right out front and it was love at first sight.

:+1: saw a new m3 the other day had to look twice to see if was just a regular 3 series..any bmw m3,m5,m6 does not have a wow factor period..the aston martin,s5 & 911 on the other hand does have a wow factor. imo everytime I see a bimmer it screams pontiac.

When it came out, they sure did but as BMW sold a shitload of E46 M3s over 8 years - they became just another 3 series gradually which I'll admit hurt its appeal. The AM, S5 and Porsche 911 will definitely catch more eyes because they aren't as many around on the road.

Can you inform me on better looking cars from 2000-2008 that are also frequently sighted on the road? I am curious.

I agree with the new E92 M3, it is too similar to the E92 328i/335i with minor exterior differences that'll go unnoticed to most people.

imagine that with some 19x11's on the rear.... sigh...

WERD..slam that red 370z with some nice gunmetal 19x11's volks and everyone on this forum will be..:drool:
