Paint help
Can someone help me fix this paint damage, it was caused by using goo gone to remove the sticker adhesive from the dealership. It looks really bad and i want to fix it.
Thanks in advance. |
goo gone my ass......you rubbed the shiite out of it with something (other than goo gone)
you can clearly see the scratch marks from something abrasive, rubbing compound wouldn't even do that kind of damage, you sanded it down to the primer |
I am dying because of this. Lol omg what did you do? Goo gone on steel wool??? Haha get it repainted. Its done for.

but his daddy won't pay for it to get repainted....

Repaint is your only recourse after that sort of damage. I've had very good work done at Ferman's Collision Center on Florida Avenue, just south of the Nissan dealer.

That might not be as bad as it looks; the scratch striations are very faint and most likely just in the top layer of the clear coat. The chalky white color however, is an indication of the clear urethane topcoats being pretty roughed up. It’s hard to tell from that photo.
Stop by a full service auto paint detailer and see if they can polish out the rough damaged surface. It’s not too hard to blow in a little extra clear coat (if necessary and if the color coat is still intact). Some more polishing will blend it in good enough to pass, as that area is low enough on the bumper and partially hidden by the emblem. |
damn, i knew i should have quoted it.... then he couldnt have removed the pic

Damn I missed the picture.. But on a similar note my sister once washed her car with a scotch brite pad whole car.. Looked great till the water dried.
