Oil Cooler

Skinny from Chebosto's 350Z http:/www.my350Z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147805: Note: Many pics and DIY tutorial

Oil cooler:
Seatrab oil cooler p/n: 50-625-7612;ow (13.0" x 7.5" x2.0"), -10AN fittings - one 90 degree -10AN fitting with swivel end; one 120 degree -10 AN fitting (note: rather large oil cooler)!

Sandwich adaptor:
Mocal 180 degree F thermastic sandwich adaptor; 20 mm filer (Nissan) with two 1/2" NPT fittings

Hose:6 feet of Earls prolite nylon hose; size 10

Custom parts:Custom fab aluminum airguide and aluminum mounting brackets to mount oil cooler. Note: Added addional vents on the passenger side plastic fender wall to increase air extraction (i.e. air extracted via wheel movement - sucks air out naturally). I would plastic weld vents to the additional air vents so as to pull down and lessen water/dirt thrown up through the added vent holes cause by tire rotation. Note: seams plausible in theory. Smoke test would confirm.

Mounting location:
Behind front bumper cover, passenger side on a custom three-opening carbon fiber bumper cover. Note: the stock 350Z radiator overflow tank was relocated and the stock power stearing cooler was relocated/replaced to the drivers side to make room for the oil cooler.

Oil Cooling...

To get my oil temps down, I cut a square in the underside cover and installed a screen under the oil filter...seems to help a bit.
