Default Help a brother out?? Oil PSI bc I'm an idiot

So just messing around the other night a guy I work with has one of those nice new Q models from Infiniti and we were just messing around.... Long story short I missed a shift, probably over-revved the car and limped her home no problems. WELL .... next day driving home from work my Oil PSI went down to 0 and won't get up over 15 psi under load. Today I drained the oil out after some research (just try changing the oil first right?) and damn near nothing came out. No evidence of a leak or blown gasket/seal or ever burning oil. This leads me to a complete and total mindf*@#. I'm pretty savvy with a wrench and whatnot but I'm completely lost here... Car is an '06 bone stock with about 115k on the odo. Any input would be appreciated. Also I already know ... I did something absolutely stupid.

when was the last time you checked/changed the oil previously? some 06s are known for burning oil and it wont be obvious unless you check it OCD like.

Wow. Didn't even make a year without blowing up the motor.

Nah she's good, no motor issues, not blown up. Put new oil in her and took her out today and so far so good PSI is back to normal. Also I will be keeping a better eye on my oil levels, I'm not the best at it.

You should learn to be good at it. Try to make a habit of checking every tine you fill up so you get an estimate on how much its burning

I will have to do that. Has there been a "cure" to the burning oil issue in these cars or is it something I'm going to have to live with? I don't mind if there isn't, I really enjoy this car.

There is no solution- except to be meticulous in checking oil levels on a regular basis. Also, use this DIY to get an accurate read on how much oil is in your revup VQ:

Actually there is a solution, albeit a very expensive one. You can rebuild the motor.

Which you may end up doing, anyway. Running an engine with almost no oil has surely done some damage. Might last a little while, but I'd bet the result of your negligence is not far off.

Thanks for the help guys. Been monitoring every day when I get home from work and before I take her anywhere, so far so good. I'm planning on making her last to at least 300k. Again thanks for the help and not taking it too hard on me lol. This car is very different from what I was used to driving everyday.
