No AUX, but CD Changer, someone help me
Many have said there is not AUX in on the Stock Stereo. I'd like to hardwire my MP3 Player.
I read yesterday on this board someone hooked up the Nissan CD Changer to the Stock Stereo. So there must be an unused input to the Stereo. He said the Stock Head controls it as well. Any way to use the cable & input that the Changer uses and modify it to and headphone jack to hook up an MP3 or other device. I would really appreciate anyone's input or idea about this. Thanks, Anthony |
There is probably a way but we need to find a wireing diagram for it so it can be figured out or tested in some way. I have ther service manuals and they hint at what wire are but there are not great diagrams though

The Cable
Maybe Nissan would give out this info. Also, I wonder if the cable is available separately. It would be quite expensive to buy a changer to cut the cable.
To anyone who installed the Nissan Changer, did it come with all the cables, are they detachable from the changer. Thanks! |
Another approach...
I just added the Sony 10-disk rf changer to my system. It plays mp3 tracks on CR-R/RW media. You can load it up with over a thousand tracks.
It plays through your radio; the specs are pretty good. HTH. Steve |
The Nissan CD changer hooks up via an adapter cable that looks like a computer interface rather than a standard RCA

Another question related to the adapter for the CD changer (very loosely) :)
Anybody know how the base head unit compares to the base head unit in the G35C? I scrounged around, but could only find pics of the Bose in the Infiniti. Reason I'm asking, I'm wondering if the steering wheel controls had a possibility of working. Not sure what kind of wiring is doable in the column, though. |
