Do Z's w/o NAVI still have wiring?

I'm curious to know if Nissan wires the Z's the same, regardless of whether or not they have the NAVI. In other words, if you purchase the OEM NAV Unit, LCD, Antenna, etc., would it just be a matter of plug and play in a Z which wasn't factory equipped with the GPS?

From what I heard from other threads is that the wiring is different and you cannot just plug and play. The wiring for the BOSE stereo is also different.

steele, thanks! That's what I thought. Incidentally, how do you like your Farenheit LCD?

It's awesome! It has great picture quality, fits PERFECT and the price is just right.

No they do not. The wiring only comes in the car from the factory with nav. Think about it. Lets say that the wiring for the nav system costs $1.00 for them to manufacture the harness. Lets Say they build 1,000,000 Z's without nav. If they put the wiring in each Z that would cost them an extra million dollars for a wiring harness that has no purpose. Not cost affective..........it would be nice though wouldnt it?
