Amp for 10W6v2?

Just ordered a box from Mike and looks like I'm going to get a JL 10W6v2 to put in there, what amp do you guys recommend? Would a JL 250/1 be powerful enough or should I step up to the 500/1 or is there something else out there I should consider?

250/1 will power that sub nicely. The max RMS rating on the 10w6v2 is 400 watts. The 500/1 will also work but you'll probably have to turn the gain/input sensitivity down a little to avoid blowing the sub. The 500/1 also allows you to amplify certain frequencies so you can tailor your bass.

If this will be your only amp, and money's not that much of a concern, get the 500/1. If you're going to get another amp, I'd just get the 250/1 because your stock electrical system won't be able to handle much over 700 watts RMS without some issues.

If you have any more questions, pm me cause I don't visit this forum very often.
