Playing DVD's with Pioneer unit

Ok, i got my avic-9dvd powered up to my touchscreen monitor, but i cant watch a dvd. The dvd will start playing, i see the fbi warning, and then it goes into the movie but it doesnt have any options. I can hear the music, but it wont do anything, i tried to push play, next and so on but its stucks right before the menu. I cant it even jump straight to the movie to fast forward or anything.
If anybody knows what i should, please let me know.
Thanks

Did you call Ed? He remembered today the changes he had to make to my system to get the DVD to play with the car in motion.

Hey, yes i called him. He said he was going to check tomorrow for a part number on some invoices. I called Pioneer and they told me to bypass the hide away unit and therefore not using this cable. I tried it out in my garage and it works, so i guess i wont be needing it. However when i tried, the nav worked fine, but i had that problem with the dvd. Do you do anything in particular when you play a dvd, hit any buttons or the remote or anything ???
Thanks

The only thing I have to do is put a DVD in the player, hit the Nav/AV (I think that's the button; it's the 3d button from the right on the 6210 control panel) and it starts playing the movie.
