My Z's Antenna
 

I am a new owner of a 2003 Z and my antenna sucks really bad . . . has anyone else had this problem and if so do you have any suggestions for a replacement antenna?

Is it stock or aftermarket, Pics would help? Did you buy it new?

I bought it used . . . I dont have any pictures yet. I think the antenna is stock though. Nothing was really done to the car except tinted windows which the dealer took off when I bought it unfortunately.

in sucks you do mean aesthetically or functioning? Mine will not pick up a radio station for anything. Good thing for XM... :)

Get the S2K antenna.

Fuctionally . . . every local radio station comes in staticy and so I try to listen to my ipod and that is static too of course. I dont have XM, and I dont really want it, I dont think.

Were can I get a S2K antenna?

Another possibility is if you have the Bose system. The Bose in the 2003s had a history of being bad, and there were a couple of TSBs to replace them. (TSB NTB03086 - Bose Audio Amplifier Customer Satisfaction Initiative, and NTB 03087 - Bose Audio System - Sound Clarity). If you have the Bose system you may want to contact a dealer to see if the one in your car is the upgraded one.

I upgraded the whole system. The FM reception is very poor, as it was when I had the stock system. Not sure if there is anything that would amplify the FM signal or not. Anyone know?

just cut the skinny top part of yours...thats what i did...just need to find a rubber cap that fits on top
