You seem to have missed the point. A lot of the 350Z owners already have the "fix". I was reading the thread in the link you provided and the following quote from an owner that got the "fix", sums it up best:
"However, I have to say that I am still disappointed with the sound of the overall stereo package. I was expecting something a bit better for rolling off the showroom floor @$37K. I know what I do have is amazing performance and power for the price but for as much time as I spend in my car I need my music to sound good". "Oh, this doesn't seem to do a damn thing for that volume control issue, that still is a pain in the behind." |
Exactly, my car was produced well after the date of the fix, and it still has muddy bass and horrible imaging.
People keep coming here and acting like this rabid 350Z board wouldn't have known this stuff months ago :) This is the worst stereo I've had in a car in quite awhile, even going against mid-level (non-Bose) GM systems. The Bose has sound level, but no accuracy. My Syclone's stereo is much worse, though :) |
i guess everyone is going to have to change their head unit, amp, and speakers in order to get the sound you want. :(

i have a z which was delivered after the fix. The stock non-upgraded stereo/CD in my wife's ford explorer sounds better. If you ordered premium you should get it. That is the point.
