Default Stereo Troubles

Ok I have an 03 touring edition with the bose stereo in it. The other day I went out and started it not paying any attention to the stereo. As I was going down the road I turned the radio up on a song that was on a cd. I noticed that the drivers side speakers were not playing anything at all. I checked the balance thinking maybe a friend had changed it just messing with me and it was set on 0, I adjusted it all to the left side and still could not hear anything. I turned the volume all the way up and could hear a real faint sound and really distorted. I then switched it to a radio station and it could hear the music just fine. Does anyone have any advice on things to check.. Also wondering if anyone has had this problem prior?

BOSE problem. Replace the headunit. Or maybe it was the BOSE amplifier... Someone will chime in. It's the BOSE system for sure tho... I was excited to get a car equipped with BOSE but it disappointed me so much. A month later it was replaced by a kenwood ddx6019

hmm. .just a cd. .it could be that the cd portion of the radio is bad. .and not sending the audio through. .im guessing you need a new radio. .

I have the same 03 touring with the same system. my woofer stops playing often and the cd player skips with new discs playing. the question I have is does the waranty covers that? I have the extended coverage plan. thanks.

Same problem here, it is a head unit problem, have replaced mine twice in 2 years. Not doing it again. Going aftermarket, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, any suggestions?

Love B&W photography.
