Bose Wiring / Pinout Diagram
Does anyone have a wiring & pinout diagram for the Factory Bose system? I've looked everywhere!
I'm going to be keeping my factory HU for a while, but I want to go ahead and replace the factory amps and speakers... so, for the short term, I've got a bit of Bose integration to deal with. :( |

Is the service manual available online?
I've got the color code charts, I was more looking for a schematic that showed the pin locations on the connectors (which I can always reverse engineer) and showed the interaction with other circuits in the car. I'm guessing the Bose system is fairly isolated from the rest of the car's electrical system. I just hate to tap a circuit and then get some unexpected behavior because I didn't see the big picture. |

I pulled the trim out of the hatch area today to get a look at the Bose amp. The Sirius Satellite Radio module is mounted above the amp. It is interesting to note that there is an unused connector on the sirius module. I suppose its there so other devices can be "daisy chained" to the aux input bus (According to PAC, the HU can support two additional aux inputs). Also the antenna amplifier is located to the left of the amp mounted higher up. There is (what looks like) a standard motorola antenna connector between the actual antenna itself and the amplifier - theoretically you could use that to connect to an aftermarket HU if you don't want to fool with getting the Nissan antenna adapter. Two wires (shielded cables?) leave the antenna module and connect to the HU.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll post some pix that you can print out and throw darts at. :) |
