mine was when it got stuck....whats the reasoning behind that?

John@Victory 07-23-2006 12:54 PM

discs are a different thickness than regular cd's..

John@Victory 07-23-2006 12:55 PM

the worst is a burnd cd with the sticker label on them

Cozmo 07-23-2006 01:01 PM

yeah its a burned cd...

Cozmo 07-23-2006 01:03 PM

I would think that you could get a used one for pretty cheap. There are many people who put in aftermarket HUs. I would check the marketplace on here and there should be something for ya.

Cozmo 07-23-2006 01:37 PM

is this common tho? cause i dont want an aftermarket one but i was thinking why should i put in another stock one when it might just break in a few months

SungNamZ 07-23-2006 04:17 PM

Dealer replaced two units that had stuck CDs. Had same problem with 3rd unit. Decided while waiting to replace with Eclipse AVX2494 which is an awesome unit.

Cozmo 07-23-2006 04:38 PM

what are u referring to? you personally had 3 replaced in your car?

yea its common if using burned cd's... owners manual states not to use them

Bran_BranZ33 07-23-2006 09:34 PM

burned CDs warp in heat really easy thats why they get stuck in the CD players happened to my buddies WRX and a friends S2000. IPOD with FM transmitter solved all my CD problems.

myZter 07-23-2006 09:52 PM

try sticking in another cd and the stuck one might come out.

maxipad96 07-24-2006 06:59 AM

I've had this happen twice... currently I only have the radio.

Cozmo 07-24-2006 12:09 PM

such bull crap that you get a cd player that doesnt like burned cds in the year 2006. never had an aftermarket one do this but apparently nissan cut a few corners in the audio dept.

YES! Went through three HU in my 2003 "Tour". ALL were CD problems. ALL were store bought music CD's, not burned. Dealer sent the unit in to have CD's removed/returned, but HU was on back order. So replaced with AVX2494 :)

guess you didnt read all of the posts? s2k and wrx as do many others have the same issues... and clarion makes nissans radio, not nissan. bose makes nissans other radio for the z. rockford fosgate and panisonic make the rest of nissan radio's.

so its not just nissans radios (its common across the board) and its not just one radio manufacturer.

dont want cd's to get stuck then dont use the types of cd's that cause the problems. it states right in the owners manual that it may cause problems.
