Default Audio Guru Help

i was wondering if you can help me out here. I currently have a 98 Jetta that its not worth fixing the engine problems it has but the radio and speakers are in normal conditions and its a Bose setup with an amp and all. Was wondering if you might know if its possible to take the bose amp and speakers off the jetta and hook it up to the z's stock non bose HU. If anyone has done this with with a similar situation id appreciate your response

Seriously doubt it. Not worth the effort.

reason im wanting to go on this mission is because im not sure what the specs r on the jetta but the sound is at least twice as good as the stock z's non-bose system and if it just takes my time to do the swap im all for it.

Don't even try it, stock stereos are meant to work with EVERY LITTLE component in the vehicle and THAT vehicle only. People don't even bother trying to put stock BOSE in Z's that didn't come with it because it's WAY more trouble than it's worth. Go buy yourself a new head unit and some decent speakers.

The ohm loads are all crazy and stuff is balanced certain ways for different types of vehicles. You can try it if you are bored or have the time, since it didn't cost you any money (unless you blow something up and set the car on fire........ ) <--------I'm kidding. I would just go with aftermarket for the quality factor.
