but the sound still picks up noise, then i used another hu and amp to test the sound,,it still picks up noise..what should i do? so disappointing

dc567,,,where is your speaker wire running and what gage wire (power wire, ground wire ect) per equipment? Also, did you check all of the ground connections? I would make sure your powerwire is not crossing over your speaker/rca cables in the cubby where amps are installed....I am in the process of my install, I ran the power wire, as you said, down the passengerside,,,,I am running my RCA's down the center console to the right and running my speaker wire to fronts up center console to the left <e-brake side>. I know there are lots of people here who have way more knowledge of this problem,,,just thought I would offer what help I can....

Did you grind the paint off the surface points where your grounds are?

Wow, that is a huge power wire for your headunit.......I am running a 4g wire from my battery to distribution block, for the power source for my two amps.

Did you use the metra harness for your headunit power supply? I know from my past years experience, the harness's in most cars will provide good, solid, power, constant power and sometimes ground..to the headunit
