Thought it would be a lot easier for people looking for how to's if they were put together in one thread. I know I have missed alot, if you know where it is, please add to the list - explain what the how to is and paste the link.

Originally posted by KJ-350 does anyone have one for getting out the far rear panels of the hatch? I plan on layer pretty much everything behind the seats and into the entire hatch area Start with the very back, pop the bottom out (by pulling forward) Then pull straight up. The clips are on top along the lip of the trunk ( I snap 3 of them by pulling forward instead of up) From there the rest is pretty straigh forward of pulling up or out. For the strut bar panels, you need to pull the side panels out first (the ones near the door that runs over the rear speakers) It should take you no more than 1/2 to remove all the panels and foam. Now, can someone post some pic of it not removed. I had them off for almost a month and not sure If I remember what goes where :p |

Does anyone know how to do the grounding kit? My radio is screaming when I turn it on. I can drownd it out with music but, i'd rather do it right.
|
How Tos
One of the other forums I frequent (Durango Owners) has some FAQ and How To pages that are not forums. They are things that get "promoted" from a thread to a special area.
It is a great feature and it really does cut down on repeat questions. I am not a moderator or anything, but I would like to humbly propose this type of idea for this group. |
|
what about the "Bose" sound system ?? we get that here in Holland not the Clarion stuff
|
How about "HOW TO" hook up an aftermarket LCD, conenct ground wires, connect sound to headunit, and run video cable to the back glovebox
|
heres another radar instal. i did i side mount rather then a center mount.

I have a stupid question!!! How can I change sides of the cassete with having to remove it from the unit??
p.s. I have the BOSE (CD+cassette+radio) system |
I'm sorry but I do not understand your question. What do you mean by "changing the sides of the cassete?"
|
I mean if ur listening to side A on the cassete and you wanna change side to B!! it seems to be impossible to do so!!
|
I've never done that so I don't know. Have you looked in the owner's manual?
I will try my cassette player and see if I can make it reverse. |
Bahraini350Z
You can reverse or switch sides of an audio cassette by pressing the "TAPE" button at the top of the Bose head unit while a tape is playing.

How about an amp install howto (or link to one previously done). I desperately want to change the stock head unit and factory speakers but know it will require the installation of an amp which I've never done.
Thanks, |

|
that is the weight in the hatch which prevents the trunk from fully opening.
|
question: If you wire a detector into the homelink, will it power on and off with the car? And do you need any additional connections to the fusebox?

Thanks Assuming Scafremon will not object, I have placed a copy of the Acrobat file here for downloading: http://lr-design.com/photos/%202003Z_Dash_Removal.pdf The use of a magnetized screwdriver will help. |

Thanks...however the instrusciotions do not show nav unit
Originally posted by sparky3Z I was helped greatly by a previous and well done post by Scafremon detailing the steps to remove the central dash and console. It was originally posted on another Z site but it appears it is no longer available at its original link. As luck would have it, I had saved the steps as an Adobe Acrobat file. Note that this was for the 2003 Z dash. Assuming Scafremon will not object, I have placed a copy of the Acrobat file here for downloading: http://lr-design.com/photos/%202003Z_Dash_Removal.pdf The use of a magnetized screwdriver will help. I really appreciate your effort, however, the instructions do not show stock nav unit. I cant simply remove a rubber mat to expose the screws, I have all the controls for the nav and the screen in there. Would appreciate some further input. |

I just bought a 2003 350Z performance. I am looking to add some bass to my system and would rather not take up any of the already limited trunk space. Does anybody have any ideas? I already own a 10 Kenwood Subwoofer.
