500/1 for 2 w6v2 to's?
Hey guys i have one 10 in my car right now but thinking of adding another. Will my 500/1 be enough power to push both of them pretty hard? thanks.

I used that same set up and had no complaints. as long as you have a proper enclosure for it.

more power than rms is always better than less power than rms
jl 1000.1 or buy a 2nd 500.1 |
if i currently have one 500/1 amp and am getting 2 subs, would you guys recommend 10w6v2 or 10w3v3? the w6v2 seems like overkill.

i would never run less than rms i always run more than rms w6 are good with 500 clean watts each ported and 750 watts clean sealed so 2 x w6 ported 1000 watts , 2 x w6 sealed 1500 watts w3 , if you want them, same principal rule as w6 w3 at full rms ported and rms and 1/2 sealed clean power |
do you know what are the numbers for the w3?
and what do you mean ported/sealed? |
ok thanks guys dont know what im gonan do yet runnin low on money though if i could swing another sub and box for two it would be that easy. Guess nothing ever is :(.

and what do you mean ported/sealed? sealed means the enclocure is air tight ported means the enclosure has a port to vent air, either aero ports , precision ports , of slot ports #'s for W3 are you asking RMS power handling or price |
hmm i really dont know haha.
i have a sealed enclosure and one 500/1 amp. i plan on picking up 2 10w3v3's. is the amp enough to power both subs? |

Good for powering 2 10w3's within the recommended powerband (300 watts rms each); a hair under combined rms, but close enough not to make much of a difference. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/images/11242.jpg A little weak for powering 2 10w6's within the powerband (400 watts rms each), but will get the job done. You won't get the most from the woofers. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/images/7923.jpg |
so... either way, a 500/1 is not enough to power both the subs at their optimum powerband. great. now what do i do lol.

well i have a jl audio 12w3v2 for bass but i'd like it to be more defined and also a bit louder. for my fronts i'll be picking up elemental design components but i don't currently have an amp in mind. i guess i don't have to run the subs at optimum power, i dont need glass shattering bass.
