TreeFiddyZee is correct. I'm referring to Kenwood updates, not the Garmin GPS updates.
Are we notified when firmware updates become available for the DNX8120 somehow, or is there a place we should be looking/watching for them?
Thanks.

opps I assume the wrong updates.
From what I understand: Once you register your Kenwood unit, there is an option under your account to enable alert update notice "Receive manufacturer updates from Kenwood USA".
You can also see the number of days remaining on your 2 years warranty and whether or not you want to buy an extended warranty for your unit.
Hope I was able to answer your question this time.

I just did the thing where the head unit pops your trunk, friggin awesome. I didn't take a picture, but for the 2006, it is a pink wire, there is 2 pink wires there, it is the one coming off the white clip, just count them and you should be fine. I should really register my head unit.

Well, I got my stuff wired pretty nice besides my front camera, still have a problem unreversing the image, don't know how, its a cheap ebay cam. Anyways, the Kna-g510 isn't too bad, pretty sweet unit. Got a question though, does anyone know how to change the stuff on the bottom, I want to move like, the TEL and EXT buttons next to each other because I use those a lot. If they only let you, that would be great.

FYI: Kenwood Bluetooth Update (fixes problems with iPhone)
Kenwood has released an update to their bluetooth software for the DNX8120. The update resolves issues with the iPhone.
The update and install process can be found here: http://www.kenwood.com/bt/support/14...roupA/eng.html

No, I still haven't gotten around to doing this. I'm hoping to try it this weekend. I will get back to you with the results.
Have you tried different images? Based on what I've read, the unit sounds like it is picky of the size/image/format...so it might not hurt to try some different images.

Hmm, that is weird...through this update they also added the iPhone to their supported devices list: http://www.kenwood.com/bt/support/143to160/eng.html
If you select the Apple link, it takes you to this update to download?

Ok, I have read most of this thread in anticipation of recieving this from Nazar, but I have one question:
I just want to confirm that grounding the parking brake line will allow video to be seen while driving.
