Wicked CAS rear corner magic box install pics.... who's got'em?
just got my new enclosure, but don't really have any info on how to mount/secure it. Any one have pics/instructions on how to install it? what hardware to use?
I am referencing this enclosure (minus the CF wrap) http://www.wickedcas.com/gallery/d/5..._Box_SMALL.jpg |
I want that CF wrap, where'd you get it?! Mine is carpeted so I basically used a bunch of velcro to secure it.
Im all for finding a better way though it sometimes moves. |

Im all for finding a better way though it sometimes moves. I got mine installed tonight. Basically two holes need to be drilled and two screws used to secure it. few tweeks of my amp and my revamped audio setup sounds really good. This box is really nice. Very subtle and you retain 98.7% of your hatch space |
what sub do you currently have for it? Does it sound nice in that box and location?

The rest of my setup includes: Alpine 9833 HU Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 Amp Phoenix Gold RSd 65cs components in OEM door location OEM rears have been disconnected |
The install pics from Wicked I've seen show them taking the tail light off and screwing though the area behind it right into the box.
I've also see people screw through the bottom of the box into the foam below the carpet. Not as secure, but probably good enough. You could also screw through the back of the box into the trim piece directly behind it. When I had mine (not wicked's, but same general concept) I didn't secure it at all. Not the best idea. One suggestion I would make is that you check the wall thickness of the box. I've only seen one, and it was pretty good, but some of the wicked boxes flex and seem like they should be reinforced. Lots of options..... |
My custom corner box, is bolted to the bottom of the trunk deck using the blot studs that are existing. But mine is different then Wicked CAS.

here are pics to reference for install. Basically drill out two locations behind the tail light. Predrill the box and set a screw into both spots. fits great and won't move:

i would be scared of rust if you plan on keeping the car
Zivman, i remember you said your brother works at a bodyshop. They have some anti rust paint down there, maybe he can help you with this. Last thing you want is rust in that area. Water and moisture gets trapped there. |

I wish this box wasn't $300+ :icon16: :icon16: I'd be all over it.

Any idea what the mounting depth is on the corner box? Will a polk sr 10 fit in there with a 7" depth?
|
with this box, is the spare still easily accessible? Are there any non-permanent ways to secure the box down that would make it easy to remove? would be convenient for times if you need to carry more in the trunk
|
THIS SHOULD HELP.
I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS A LONG TIME AGO. It helps to have 2 people. http://www.wickedcas.com/gallery/v/m.../ZcornerInstr/ |

I have the same question. This box appears to be what I want. Quality sound and lets me retain the majority of my cargo area. I am a little concerned about being able to access the spare tire area. |
