MY350Z.COM - Nissan 350Z and 370Z Forum Discussion - Help....can't get the stereo/center dash to go back in after install

Hey guys....hoping to get some insight and a solution for this if possible. I just spent the better part of the day installing my USA Spec PA11-NIS Ipod interface on my base 2005 Z. I'm not all that handy but it all went fine...got the center console out(with DIY info from this site, VERY helpful), hooked up the interface, tested it(works great) and then came the problem. I CANNOT get the center console back into the dash. I can get the top part with the three gages in...but the stereo will only go in about 3/4's of the way. I tried to get it in for 2.5 hours with no luck....I'm not sure if it's the wires(the new wires and connector with the PA11 are CHUNKY)and I've moved them around as much as I could with no difference. I ran the Ipod wire up thru my empty navigation cubby but I've got that wire going down behind the plastic so it's not even in the way of the stereo. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? So FRUSTRATED!
