Default Noob question

I bought a used 350z and the owner before me installed a single din alpine unit. I'm looking to put a double din this weekend. I wanted to know what do I need to buy, considering an aftermarket stereo has already been installed? And also do I need the original bose bracket?

either the metra kit or you can cut your current kit, but i would def buy a kit since so cheap.

the brackets i believe are still there, when you take the head unit out there should be a metal bracket on each side. will have 4 screw holes on each side which attach to the radio (only 2 screws would be used on single din, 4 on double din and two on each side that screws into the dash trim piece

the brackets arent there? they should be since the radio needs them to hold in place. have you pulled out the radio yet?

I had the same problem. Ordered this kit from eBay

Just go there and look for 2 din kits. It doesnt have any brand in discription, but at least brackets are there.
