Default Kenwood DNX7100 and Metra Harness question

I'm installing a DNX7100 and I'm using the metra 70-7550 harness b/c I have an '03 base (non-bose). My question is about wiring. I think I have everything else wired correctly with the exception of the orange wires.

Anyway, the metra harness has one solid orange, and one orange/black striped. The solid orange is labeled as "illumination" and the orange/black is labeled "dimmer negative."

The wiring harness for the DNX7100 on the other hand only has one orange/white striped wire labeled in the manual as a "dimmer control wire" but with a tag on the wire itself labeled "ILLUMI."

What do I connect to the orange/white DNX7100 wire to on the metra harness? Also, I assume I leave the other unused orange wire on the metra harness disconnected?

Connect it to the solid orange wire. The orange/black will NOT be used and can be snipped from the Metra harness of just coiled up.
