Im about to buy a new headunit and some front component speakers, so i just wanted to ask you guys opinion should i spend the money on replacing the rear speakers or just leave them disconnected?

When I did my system, I replaced all the speakers. Some say you can't really tell if the rear ones are connected, but I've found that if you put a 3 way speaker in the rear it really seems to help. Just my $.02 Also if you have not decided on a headunit yet, I would recommend the Alpine 505. Its a doubledin AM/FM, CD, DVD, Bluetooth, Ipod cable, and has a nav unit that fits inside of it. I've been really happy with it. Hope this helps

...or you could buy the HU that I'm getting ready to sell. :icon38:

For music, rears don't make much of a difference but for movies, they make all the difference. I watched Empire Strikes Back in my car with my girl and she was surprised that we got surround, i.e., Star Destroyers flying overhead, in the car.
