Default Radio stays on after turning off car?

Hey guys, just installed a jl 500/1 amp to compliment my system (2 jl w3's and a pioneer avh3100dvd), after i turn my ignition off and remove the key the system stays on for about 10-20 seconds then shuts off. whats up with this? never did this before with the old amp. any ideas? is this normal?

That doesn't sound normal. It could pertain to your remote wire. Now does your Radio stay on after you remove your keys from your ignition or just your amp?

I am not all that familiar with JL amps but if they are similar to my friends it has a switch on it that controls the turnon by signal sensing. It cold be backfeeding if its keeps your radio on also. I cant remember what the switch was called but has to with hi/low level inputs. It was keeping my buddies amps on for about 20s after you turned the system off.

Hard to see from the pic I found but it looks like it says signal sensing, make sure its off.

If thats not it let me know if the radio is staying on also. If it is try disconnecting the remote wire and see if the radio goes back to normal
