So ive had my system in the z for 2 months now but had to replace a kenwood 2 channel amp (powering my 2 polk component speakers) cuz it died with a 300/2 JL audio amp. The JL amp sound sincredible its jus i notice it gets really hot after like an hour of it on full blast, it has never gone into thermal protection mode tho. I have the amp in the secret area under the "glove box"......anyone else have hot amps?

 

I've also got JL amps, and they do get warm. I was originally concerned about the heat, but they've also never gone into thermal shutdown, so I quit worrying about it. Check this forum for pics of my amp install. I have both mounted in the glove box.
