Considering iPod+iTrip? Don't!
In the 350 Z (and possibly other cars) it sucks!
The power on it is extremely weak. I've tried every frequency and they all sound flat with decreased frequency range, and STATIC. I'm looking for another FM mod solution, but iTrip is not it - it needs more power. We ought to hack a line-in out of the CD changer port somehow... |
mine works fine, just make sure the ipod volume isn't that high and the sound is clear.

Mine works fine.

Hmm,
What station are you guys using? Maybe it's a Dallas thing? |
I have an iPod and a aftermarket HU with an input on the front. Sounds great. Remember, the frequency response on the iTrip is only like 35Hz-15,000Hz.

This is the way to go I was thinking of hardwiring mine. Does anyone know if the stock non-bose HU has any inputs? I was going to pull it and check but I'd prefer find out from someone who repleaced theirs rather than create a dash rattle. |

EnthuZiast, how much do those headphones cost, I was just looking at those on the website the other day. That mp3 player is pretty cool looking but hard drive players are the way to go. Plus I bet it costs a ton.

EnthuZiast, how much do those headphones cost, I was just looking at those on the website the other day. That mp3 player is pretty cool looking but hard drive players are the way to go. Plus I bet it costs a ton. It retails for $595.00 The earphones are the ones in Minority Report and they are just plain AWESOME. Combine those with an ipod and your golden. You can adjust them in SO many different ways. They retail for $160.00 But you guys all pay 10% off retail for B&O and you escape sales tax if you buy them from out of state. |
