Rear speakers aren't working after sub/amp install
Hey guys,
I installed some subs and an amp in my z the other day and now my rear speakers aren't working. They are not putting out any sound. I have tried to adjust settings on my HU and search the web, but I can't find anything to help me out. Any suggestions would be great. |
Well what did u do to hook it up ?

Jeepers. Your question is difficult to answer because you are not providing any details!
Without any details, all I can tell you is your wiring is incorrect. --Spike |
Welcome.
The speakers are not working because they are not receiving a power signal. Keep in mind that some amplifiers must be switched ON with a remote ON from the head unit. |

Foon reports no sound only to his rear speakers. It’s difficult providing an answer without more information about the external amp (how many channels?), the H/U, and specifics about his wiring. --Spike |
no response from op front stage is all that matters anyways

Thanks for the responses and sorry for the late reply. I don't get on here much, always seem to be working.
Anyways, my HU is a Kenwood DDX series and my amp is a Cerwin Vega 500. Here is the amp: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...702AQY0067BW35 Here is the HU: http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-Ddx418...6261031&sr=1-1 |
Can you describe how you have wired all the the components?

mayb forgot to run rcas for the 2 channels
|
The amp is a mono amp for the subwoofer. Something sounds a bit fishy!

He got it figured out. For some reason when we hooked up the subs the HU decided to change some setting. But he figured it out.

i hate when head units make decisions on their own
