Amp rack behind the driver's seat

I installed some rainbow audio components in my roadster along with a subwoofer enclosure and amp in the stock location. I then installed a Kicker DX200.4(bridged) under the glove box to power my components. I found that I got better bass out of the components than the crappy sub I installed, and with the top down and the volume up on the interstate the Kicker amp was overheating. So, out came the crappy sub and it's amp, and the Kicker amp was moved over to the stock subwoofer location.

I built the rack out of some scraps of 7/8" unistrut, (2) 2 hole 90s, 1/4" spring nuts(with the springs removed), 1/4-20 bolts, 1/4" fender washers, and some 3/4"x1/8" aluminum bar(home depot) to attach the strut in the front.

I was thinking the amp might run cooler hanging out in the open, so instead of bolting a piece of MDF to my strut, I just cut two strips of the aluminum bar and drilled and tapped it to mount the amp. I got a little overzealous in tightening down the front bar, and it bent a little.

The only reason the fuse block is there is because I was running two amps, and the power wire is too short to reach the amp now. I'll probably get a butt splice and some heatshrink to do away with it.

I anyone else is interested in building a similar rack, I believe the two up-down pieces were 7.5" and the front-back pieces are 14.5", but I can measure to verify. If you know someone that works for an industrial contractor you can probably get some strut scraps for free, otherwise 7/8" strut is about $16 for a 10' stick at a retail store.
