hertz hsk 165xl
 

I was looking at the hertz hsk 165 xl comp speakers and i see the tweeter is a bit bigger then 1" and was wondering would they fit in the stock spots on my 08 350z

They are GREAT sounding speakers, but I don't know if they'll fit in the stock spots..

The mids on my HSK163 set BARELY fit in the stock locations in my car..

Look into doing a set of kick panels with the mids and tweeters in them. You'll have a killer sounding Z, I highly recommend putting in the extra work to make these fit.

Way too deep for the stock (door) spots.

Depth is listed at 75mm (3 inches).

the consensus on the forum seems to be anything up to 2.5 inches mounting depth (with a 1" MDF spacer) will work.

Anything deeper will hit the window when it is rolled down into the door.

Just installed a set of JBL MS-62C components in my Z. 2 3/8 inches depth, fit perfectly with a set of 1" MDF spacers from Zenclosures. Very easy to see when you are inside your doors, that there is NOT alot of room for anything much deeper.

i thought about kick panels only problem is i have friends who like to move there feet around. what about door pods you think running a set of hertz 165 xl in a set of door pods with tweeters in the stock spot where the stock tweeters go sound good.
